About this place
One curry or a combination of different flavours? At Asia Takokuseki-ryori Lotus, that choice is where a set meal begins. One diner who ordered the C Set at lunch enjoyed the aubergine and potato curry of the day, keema curry, tandoori chicken, naan and a drink. They liked trying two curries so much that they wondered whether they might have been just as happy with a generous serving of keema alone. Their experience offers a useful starting point: try a few curries first, then settle on a favourite next time. Some sets also let you choose from the curry of the day, keema and chicken. One diner found the medium spice level fairly mild, so if you prefer more heat, it may be worth asking whether the spice can be adjusted.
There is more than curry to choose from. Chicken momo, a Nepalese dumpling, comes steamed or fried. Other options include tom yum goong, the Thai soup known for its sourness, heat and complex aromas, and yam woon sen, a tangy glass-noodle salad. The range makes it easy to share a few small dishes with a group or order something new for yourself. For a lighter meal, consider one of the sets featuring sausages or yakitori. A previous diner recalled choosing the sausage set when the tandoori chicken had sold out, and adding a couple of other dishes. The sets offer a choice of yakitori, tandoori chicken or sausages, and are also listed with a drink.
The wide-ranging menu suits different ways of dining: curry sets at lunch, or small plates and à la carte dishes with beer or wine in the evening.
